VIP TYRE CHANGE
The most modern wheel balancer in Latvia
That is how Autoriepu nams describes its own Hunter RoadForce Elite. In the VIP bay one technician does the whole job, and next to it sits a separate lounge with a TV and free coffee, tea and water.
The VIP bay is available only at Ziepniekkalna iela 2. Charged at a higher rate. Discounts do not apply.
What happens in the VIP bay
Six steps the standard service does not include. Autoriepu nams describes them itself.
Balances under load
The balancer simulates real road conditions and shows the position each wheel should be mounted in, so the car does not pull to one side.
Centres at five points
The rim is mounted lug-centric on a flange plate at five points rather than cone-centred at one, as at most service centres.
Cleans the rims
Before fitting, the rims are washed and cleared of adhesive from the previous balancing weights.
Treats the hub
The wheel hub is treated with copper grease, which protects the wheel bolts from corrosion.
Torques to spec
Wheel bolts and nuts are tightened to the required torque.
Reminds you by SMS
A reminder about the upcoming tyre change arrives by SMS 24 hours and 2 hours in advance.
When the old tyres went back on and were balanced, the VIP balancing showed they were fine, with not a trace of vibration left.

Frequently asked questions
Are you open on Saturdays?
No. Both tyre service centres are open on weekdays: Ziepniekkalna iela from 9:00 to 19:00 and K. Ulmaņa gatve from 9:00 to 18:00. The last booking is 18:30 at Ziepniekkalna iela and 17:30 at K. Ulmaņa gatve. Both are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
What does a tyre change cost?
For a car, a set runs from €40 incl. VAT for R13–R16 up to €70 for R22–R23. The VIP full cycle runs from €70 to €100. The complete price list is on our website.
Can I leave my tyres in storage?
Yes. Seasonal storage for a set of tyres costs €40 incl. VAT.
My tyres are in your storage. How do I book?
Tick the relevant box in the request form so we know the tyres are in our storage.
How is VIP different from the standard service?
A VIP change is handled end to end by one qualified technician, the wheels are balanced on a Hunter RoadForce Elite with five-point centring, and you wait in a separate lounge with a TV and free coffee. The VIP bay is available only at Ziepniekkalna iela 2. It is charged at a higher rate, and discounts do not apply.
What about my old tyres?
We take them for disposal on site: €1 per tyre up to R17 and €1.50 per tyre from R17.
